I’m trying to understand adultery in the military a bit more. I know it’s a crime under the UCMJ, but does it include stuff like handjobs or blow jobs? Also, how much proof do you actually need to report it? Anyone have experience with this?
Yeah, it counts. The UCMJ doesn’t just cover full-on cheating, it includes pretty much any extramarital activity. As for proof, anything you can give is good. Photos, texts, witness statements… they can all help.
@Florian
Wait, so even just a handjob counts? That seems kinda extreme…

Yup, unfortunately. It doesn’t have to be full intercourse. Any extramarital sexual conduct could be reported.
If you’re in the military, pretty much anything goes for reporting. But I’d say the more solid your evidence is, the better. It can be a tricky situation.

Yeah, but does it have to be something serious? Like, can just sending nudes count too?
@Wylie
Yes, sending explicit content could be seen as part of the issue too. It’s all about the nature of the conduct and whether it’s deemed a violation.
Adultery is taken pretty seriously in the military, so if you’re thinking of reporting it, gather whatever proof you can. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Also, if you have any doubts, talking to a legal advisor in the military might help clarify things. They’ll give you a more precise understanding of the situation.
I’ve heard some people report small things like suspicious texts or photos. If it’s enough to raise a red flag, it could be worth bringing up.
