Hey all, I’m moving overseas soon, and Verizon is giving me some trouble with a trade-in I made before getting my orders. They won’t give me the full credit on the phone because it was before my orders came through. I’m trying to pay off all the phones so I can use them with another carrier, but they’re only offering credit toward my bill, not the trade-in value. Anyone else dealt with this? What did you do?
I had something similar happen. Verizon wouldn’t give me the full trade-in value either when I moved. Have you tried providing them with a copy of your military orders? They may give you more options.
That’s so frustrating! Verizon really needs to improve their military support. Have you spoken to their specific military support team? They might be able to help more than regular customer service.
I had a similar issue with Verizon before and it took forever to get them to fix it. If they’re still not helping, maybe file a formal complaint with them? That might push things along.
I had this same issue! I ended up contacting the FCC for help. Verizon didn’t like getting a complaint from them and finally resolved it. Just a thought!
I’d definitely suggest checking if you have a military clause in your contract. If not, maybe you can still argue it based on your orders. Hope it gets resolved soon!
