Anyone else having issues with getting license plate tabs for a new car?

I recently bought a new car and transferred my plate to it, but the online system won’t let me order my license plate tab. It’s been super frustrating. I just want to get my tab for 2025 before my birthday in December. Anyone know what might be going on? :face_with_monocle:

Yeah, I think contacting them directly might be the best bet. Sometimes the online system gets glitchy, especially if you’re trying to do things way ahead of time.

Did you check if the DMV processed your plate transfer correctly? Sometimes that can hold things up with ordering tabs.

I think everything’s fine with the transfer. I’m just wondering if it’s an issue with how early I’m trying to get the tab for next year. :confused:

Hmm, that could be it. Some systems won’t let you order tabs too far in advance. Might be worth checking again closer to your registration date.

FYI, if you’re in Minnesota, you might be able to contact the DVS online to get it sorted. Just make sure everything’s up to date with your vehicle info.

Totally! The DMV system can be a bit slow, but I’m sure it’ll come through for you soon.

I haven’t called yet, but I might give it a shot. Hopefully, that’ll speed things up!

Yeah, calling might help! I’ve heard that sometimes they can process things faster over the phone.
