Anyone know how to fix a title year issue when moving from Colorado to Florida?

So we have a van with a Colorado title, but we spend most of the year in Florida. When we went to change the title to Florida, the DMV here said the year on the Colorado title is wrong. The title lists 2021, but it should be 2022. Anyone know what we can do to fix this?

That sounds like a headache! You might need to contact the Colorado DMV to get the title corrected. I’d suggest giving them a call.

Thanks! I haven’t contacted them yet, but I’ll try calling them. Do you know if it’s something they can fix over the phone?

I had a similar issue with my car title, and the DMV let me fix it online. You could check out the Colorado DMV’s website at https://mydmv.colorado.gov and see if you can update it there.

Yeah, I had a similar thing happen when I moved to Florida. The DMV told me to make an appointment and bring proof of ownership and ID. You might need to do that too.

Yeah, I think you’ll need to contact the Colorado DMV to get it corrected. You might want to ask about transferring the title to Florida after that too.
