Can i call about my step child’s medical bill?

It’s my wife’s personal insurance policy but given that she’s military her insurance is always active as long as she’s enlisted. She has 10 more years on her contract for example.

If she’s military, then she has TRICARE I believe. That’s darn good insurance that covers quite broadly. It’s hard to imagine a situation where they would need to pay out-of-pocket.

That’s exactly why we suspect he purposely didn’t apply it to the bill. Because I checked and the hospital he took her to is in network.

You can submit the bill yourself, if he provides the necessary documents. You might offer to do that. It will show goodwill if you do end up in front of a judge.

I have ran into issues with some people and not with others. I’m on SK contact list so some people will talk to me. There isn’t a specific HIPPA form completed with my name on it tho. This goes for billing department AND doctor offices. My kids are insured by their BD and insurance companies will answer general questions for me.

@Kit
It’s HIPAA, not hippa. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Yes, very familiar with it as I work in healthcare. Typo is all.
