Hey, so I was married to a USAF member for over 20 years, got divorced, remarried, and now divorced again. When I got divorced initially, my attorney (who was a former JAG officer) told me I could always go back and get limited military benefits like commissary privileges. But now, when I asked at an Army base near me, they said it isn’t possible. I even talked to SJAFB Legal and they think I can get those benefits. So, who’s right here? Should I just go to SJ to try? IDK what to do at this point… Anyone been through something similar or know the rules better than me? Thanks in advance!

I’m also wondering about this. If your original divorce decree didn’t mention benefits, does that mean you’re automatically ineligible? I guess I should ask DFAS too.

I think the best step now is contacting DFAS directly, especially since you’re still receiving income from them. That could be a good sign that you’re still eligible for certain benefits. It’s worth trying!
