So, I found out that my job might cut my pay by $14k… like, seriously?! I saw some budget emails that weren’t meant for me and it looks like I’m the only one they’re targeting. Our employee policy says they can only cut salaries organization-wide, but it seems like they’re ignoring that. Anyone else dealt with something like this? What can I even do?
Wow, that’s rough. I’d definitely talk to HR about this. They can’t just pick and choose who to cut.

Right? It’s super unfair if they’re giving someone else a raise too.
I thought employee policies were supposed to protect us from stuff like this. I’d read yours carefully!

Yeah, I thought so too… but IDK if that matters legally.
Have you thought about getting a lawyer? Sometimes a little push can make them rethink things.

That might be a good idea. I just wanna make sure I’m doing the right thing.

Yeah, definitely look into it. You don’t want them to get away with this.
This kinda stuff makes me so mad. I’d start documenting everything just in case.

Good call! I’ll start doing that. Better safe than sorry.
If it’s not in the policy, they shouldn’t be able to do it. But sadly, companies play dirty sometimes.

Totally. It’s frustrating when they don’t follow their own rules.
