I’m trying to figure out if I still have my lifetime license for this year. It was issued to me back in 1986, so IDK if it’s still valid or if I need to do something. Anyone have any idea? My license number is Crawford Kennedy1671505. I’m in NC, btw.
I think lifetime licenses are usually still valid no matter the year. You might just need to check online to verify your details though. Have you tried looking it up on the official site?

Yeah, you should be able to log in to your account on the state’s fish and wildlife site to see your license details. Here’s the link: My Profile | KDFWR. Try it and let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the link! I didn’t know they had that online portal. Definitely checking it out.
I had the same question a while ago. I bought mine in the 80s too, and it’s still valid. No need for renewal! But if you want a replacement card, you can contact them directly. Their customer service is pretty helpful.
@Shiloh
Good to know! I was kinda stressed about it, but sounds like I’m good. I’ll just request a new card if I need one.
Just a heads-up, you might need to provide your Social Security Number (last four digits) to access your profile on the website. Just FYI.

Oh, okay! I didn’t realize that. Thanks for the heads-up, I’ll make sure I have that ready.
If you’re in Kentucky, your lifetime license is good for life. You can get all the details from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources directly or online. Good luck!

I’m in NC, so I think it’s a bit different for me. But I’ll still check it out on the site and see what I can find.
Not sure if it’s the same for all states, but if you don’t see anything on the website, I’d recommend calling them directly. They can verify your info pretty fast over the phone.

Thanks! I’ll try the online method first and call if I can’t get through. Appreciate all the help!
