I filed for a change of address in Mississippi, and I’m now in Kyle, TX (78640). I filed it around the end of October with the effective date of 10/29/2024. Do I need to go into the Kyle PO to confirm that my address change went through?
I don’t think you need to confirm it at the post office. If you filed for the change of address, it should be processed automatically. Have you received any mail yet?

I haven’t checked yet, but I’ll keep an eye out. Thanks for the info!
Yeah, same here. I moved last month and didn’t need to confirm it at the local PO. As long as you filed the change properly, your mail should be forwarded.

Good to hear! I was worried I missed something. Fingers crossed the mail comes through soon!
I think it should be fine. But if you’re not getting any forwarded mail soon, maybe double-check with the post office just in case. Better safe than sorry, right?

Yeah, I might do that if nothing shows up. I’ll give it a couple more days.
You shouldn’t need to confirm, really. Once the change of address is filed, the post office usually takes care of it. They may send a confirmation notice later, though.

I hope so! I guess I’ll just wait for the confirmation notice then.
I had the same worry. I didn’t need to confirm anything either, and my mail started showing up after a week or two. I’d say just wait it out.

Awesome, I feel a bit better about it now. Thanks for the reassurance!
