EZPass failed and I lost the ticket... how do I pay the Massachusets toll violation?

So my EZPass failed on a trip and I got sent a ticket/invoice, but I lost it… Now I just got a notice saying that I need to pay it or NY won’t renew my registration. It was a Massachusets toll violation. How do I pay it without the original ticket? Anyone know what I should do?

Oh no, that’s such a pain. If you can’t find the ticket, I’d recommend checking with the Massachusets toll authority. They should be able to look up your violation by your license plate or EZPass number.

@Casey
Yeah, I was thinking about calling them. I just wasn’t sure if they’d help without the ticket, but sounds like it’s worth a shot!

I had something similar happen to me a while ago. I contacted them online and they were super helpful. You might even be able to pay directly through their website once they find your info.

Oh cool, good to know. I’ll check their website and see if I can sort it out there. Thanks!

FYI, if you don’t resolve this soon, it might cause more issues with your registration, so it’s definitely better to take care of it sooner rather than later.

Definitely. I don’t want to end up with extra fines or anything. I’ll get on it ASAP.

I’d recommend using online chat to contact them, too. They’re usually quick to respond. I used it once and got everything sorted in just a few minutes.

That sounds like a good idea. I’ll try the online chat. Hopefully, they can help me out without all the back-and-forth.

I know the Massachusets tolls have a system where you can pay online without needing the original ticket. Just check your plate number or EZPass account, and you should be good to go.

Nice, I didn’t realize I could do that. I’ll give it a try and let you all know how it goes!
