I’m really frustrated with how my ADA accommodation request is being handled. It seems like the CHO is involved in the process, and I feel like that’s why my request isn’t getting the attention it deserves. Shouldn’t the LOA specialist be the one handling this? Is this a violation of the ADA?
I totally get your frustration. If there’s supposed to be an unbiased process, having the CHO involved might mess things up. Have you talked to anyone else about this?

Yeah, I’m wondering the same thing… IDK why they’d step in when there’s a specialist for that.
@Sidney
Exactly! It feels unfair. I thought the point was to have a neutral process. Any advice on what to do next?
Sounds like a tough situation… If you have proof of how other managers got accommodations easily, that might help your case.

For sure! Keeping records of everything can really back you up.

What do you mean by proof? Like emails or something?
@Lyle
Yeah, any documentation that shows other people were accommodated without issues. That could be key.
Sorry to hear about this… Have you thought about reaching out to a lawyer if it keeps going badly?

I might have to if things don’t change soon. Just want a fair shot at this.
Yeah, it’s important to feel supported, especially with health issues. Hang in there!
Keep pushing for what you need… You deserve fair treatment, especially with everything going on.
