No, it’s never that simple with government. They’ll want to handle it themselves.
Does he owe any arrears?
Are you in the state child support program? If so, you should have a caseworker you can contact. If he changed jobs, he might be getting paid bi-weekly now, so that could explain the double payment.
Why are you so stressed? Maybe save the extra for later.

The only issue is that the next check could be less if they correct it later.
You’ve got good advice already, OP. Set it aside, don’t spend it, and don’t give anything to him. Let the enforcement office handle everything.
