Got a transponder but need to change my plate... what now?

I received a transponder but I need to change the plate number. Can anyone help me with this? Not sure what to do next.

Hey, I had the same issue. You might need to update your plate info with the company that sent you the transponder. Have you contacted them yet?

Yeah, I had to call them and provide the new plate number. They updated it for me pretty quickly.

Exactly, they’ll probably just need the new details to send you an updated transponder. It’s usually pretty simple!

I’m a bit confused. What exactly is the issue with the transponder? Is it not working, or do you just need to update the plate info?

It’s not working right now because the plate is different from the one linked to the transponder. Just need to update it.

If you’re still having trouble, you might want to check if there’s a way to do it online. Some services let you update the plate info on their website.

I’ll check that out! Didn’t even think to look online, thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, I had a similar issue with mine. I had to email them the new plate number and they sent me a replacement transponder.

Got it, I’ll email them and see if they can send a new one with the updated info. Appreciate it!

It sounds like you just need to get in touch with the company and explain the situation. They’ll probably take care of it for you.
