Hey, so I’ve been calling around trying to find a lawyer for my case, but every office I reach says they don’t handle that type. I’ve tried Googling for recommendations, but still no luck… anyone know how I could find someone who specializes in specific areas?

Same thing happened to me a while back. I tried using legal directories like Avvo or Martindale-Hubbell. They let you search by practice area and even see reviews.

It’s a directory for lawyers where you can filter by what they specialize in. Kinda like Yelp, but for lawyers lol.
If you can’t find anyone nearby, maybe look at lawyers in neighboring areas or even statewide. Some cases can be handled remotely, so distance might not be an issue.

That’s a good idea! I’ll try checking outside my area… didn’t think of that.
Also, legal aid organizations sometimes provide referrals. They might be able to connect you with someone if you qualify.

Like Avvo or even some smaller ones you might find with a quick search. They usually let you pick a specific field.
