I’m trying to renew my registration but I also want to drop my veterans plate for $25. Anyone know how to do this? I used to use Service Arizona, but it’s no longer available. I need to do it by express and still drop the plate. Any tips or steps I should follow?

Yep! Once you get the plate removed, you should be able to renew your registration online at the Arizona DOT site: https://azdot.gov/mvd/services/driver-services/driver-license-information/renew-your-license
I had the same issue last month. Definitely go through that link they gave you, and make sure you’ve got everything settled with the plate removal first!

I had to call them too when I removed my plate. It’s a bit of a process, but once it’s done, the rest is super easy online.
What exactly does removing the plate do? Like, can you just switch to a regular plate and still save the $25?

Yes, you just take off the veterans plate, and you won’t have to pay for it anymore. You’ll be able to renew with a regular plate and avoid the $25 fee for that specific plate.
