Hey everyone, I just moved from Eastland County to Limestone County here in Texas about three weeks ago and I need to update my address on my driver’s license. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this online? Any tips? I also need to update my address on my concealed carry license. Help would be much appreciated!
Hey! You can do it all online through the Texas DPS website. Just head to the driver license and renewal page. You’ll need your license number, date of birth, SSN, and audit number from your current license. Then just fill in your new address info and pay the $11 fee for the address change. They’ll send you a temporary license too.

Thanks for this! Do I have to update my address on my concealed carry license separately too?

Yep, you need to update that separately too. Same thing—just go to the LTC portal and do the address change there. It’s $25 for that one.
I’m in Texas too. Just wanted to add that if you don’t want to do it online, you can also mail in the LTC-70 form to update your concealed carry address. But online is definitely faster.

True, but the online process is way quicker! I think the form takes longer to process.
I didn’t know you had to update your address for both separately… but good to know now! Appreciate the info!

Yeah, it’s a bit of a hassle. But at least it’s all online these days.
Just a heads up, they’ll send you a temporary license once you update everything online, so you don’t have to worry about not having one for a while.

Good to know! I was wondering about that. Can you use the temporary one for everything until the real one comes?
@Oli
Yep, it’s valid for 60 days, so no issues. It’s not a physical card but works just fine for most situations.
So wait, do I need to log in to both portals to update each one, or can I do both through the same one? Lol, never done this before.

You gotta do them separately. Each portal has its own login and process, so it’s not combined. Took me a bit to figure that out too, lol.
