Do you live in a no-fault divorce state? That’s the first thing you should check. I live in one, so none of this would matter. But if you live in a fault state, things like cheating or getting someone pregnant can matter.

Then the affair or pregnancy might not change anything. The only thing that would matter is serious abuse, which would have restraining orders in place already.
