Is a wrongful termination lawsuit worth it?

I was terminated without cause from my job of 15 months. A month before my termination, I filed a health and safety complaint with OHS, and they came to investigate. My employer knew I was the one who made the complaint. Given how close my dismissal was to the complaint, I’m thinking about taking legal action. My question is, is it worth pursuing? Most lawyers I have contacted charge $350-$500 just for a consultation.

Deciding whether to pursue a wrongful termination lawsuit can be challenging, especially considering the costs involved.

But in the wrong run, if you win your wrongful termination case, you may be compensated for lost back pay. This is based on the earnings you would have received if you had remained employed. Along with your regular pay, lost earnings may include bonuses and earnings growth, such as promotions and raises.

If you suspect retaliation, it might be worth pursuing. Consider free legal consultations or advocacy groups to assess your case before paying high fees.
