Is it possible to find out when the sheriff will come to arrest a person for child pornography?

Hey, so I heard about a case where a young man got turned in to the sheriff’s office for child pornography involving a disabled 22-year-old. Does anyone know if it’s possible to figure out when the sheriff will come to arrest him? Looking for any insight on this… :pray:

That’s a tough situation. I think it depends on the evidence they have. If the sheriff’s office is gathering enough proof, they may act sooner. Anyone else got any advice on this?

Yeah, I agree with you. The sheriff would probably need solid evidence to move quickly. Do they have any proof yet?

@Tan
From what I heard, they’re still gathering everything, so it could take a while. Not sure though. :thinking:

I’m no expert, but I think they might not give a heads up on the arrest timing. Probably all hush-hush till it happens.

Hmm, yeah, that sounds like how it usually goes. The police don’t usually announce arrest times, right?

It might also depend on the sheriff’s workload. They might prioritize certain cases over others.

True, definitely makes sense. If they’re handling a bunch of cases, it could be slower to get around to this one.

In some cases, a lawyer might be able to give you a rough idea of when things will happen based on the case’s progress. Have you considered reaching out to one?

That’s a good idea, actually. I didn’t think about asking a lawyer for a timeline. Thanks!

Does anyone know if the sheriff can arrest without warning once they have enough evidence, or do they usually give notice first?

I think they can arrest without notice if they have enough proof, but I’m not totally sure. Maybe someone here has more experience?

@Greer
Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind. It’s good to know that they don’t always have to give a warning before arresting.
