My driver's license never came... what should I do?

So, my driver’s license expired about a year and a half ago, and a few months ago, I got this ‘Ohio Interim Documentation’ from the Ohio BMV to use until my new license arrived. But it’s been forever and it still hasn’t come! What should I do now?

I’d recommend making an appointment with a Deputy Registrar at the BMV. They should be able to get you your license in person instead of waiting for it to arrive by mail. Here’s a link to find a nearby Deputy Registrar: https://publicsafety.ohio.gov/local-office

Thanks! I’ll definitely try that. Seems like a good option since the mail’s been super slow lately.

Yeah, it sounds like it might have gotten lost in the mail. I’d follow up with the BMV and see if you can pick it up in person. That should speed things up!

Good idea! I didn’t think of that. I’ll call them and see if I can make an appointment.

It’s definitely worth checking in with them directly. The mail sometimes loses things, especially if it’s been that long.

Yeah, I think you’re right. I’ll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks for the advice!

Oh wow, that’s frustrating! Definitely try the in-person route, and hopefully, you’ll have that license in hand soon. Good luck!

Thanks! I’ll keep you posted on how it goes. Fingers crossed it works!

Make sure to bring any other documents they might need, like proof of identity. You don’t want any delays when you go in person.

Great tip, I’ll double-check what documents I need before I go. Appreciate it!
