Neighbor’s fence isn’t on the property line... can she still plant?

Aloha! So my neighbor put up a fence, but it’s not right on the property line—it’s like 15 feet in. Just wondering, does that mean she can still come over and plant things in that space?

Yep, as long as the land between the fence and property line is hers, she can do whatever on it! Planting’s fine.

Exactly! The fence doesn’t change her property line.

For sure! But generally, the property line matters more than where the fence is.

FYI, the fence location doesn’t affect property ownership. It’s just a structure inside her property.
