‘No evidence backing these wild claims’ … Special counsel hits ex-FBI informant accused of false bribery story with harsh response

So the special counsel called out the ex-FBI informant who’s been making bribery claims against Biden, saying his demands are ‘legally flawed and rambling.’ What’s everyone’s take on this?

Honestly, Republicans have a habit of this stuff.

It’s the same old story … the GOP just needs accusations, not evidence.

Exactly. And let’s not forget how every time a MAGA person points fingers, they’re usually just talking about themselves.

Is this nonsense ever going to stop?

Maybe, if we all show up next Tuesday and get rid of these bad actors from the Republican side. That could be a start.

It’ll take a long time, like it did after 9/11. And who knows what new problems we’ll face by then? I’m not letting this election stress me out too much, but a win for Democrats will definitely help. If Harris wins, I’ll be on the lookout for Republicans trying to play nice just to grab power later. You know how it goes.

@Jonah
Exactly. It’s like the final gasp of a political movement that’s been on the decline since 2016. They pulled off a win that year thanks to overconfidence from Democrats, dirty tricks, and foreign meddling. But after January 6th, I don’t see them pulling that off again. Once Trump is out, the movement will probably collapse like the Nazi movement did post-Hitler. The GOP will either reinvent itself or fade out. There will always be conservatives, sure, but we need to shift the middle ground back to something more reasonable like the 90s, with better awareness of global threats.

@Jonah
Are we really ignoring that Trump openly talks about jailing his opponents like he’s a dictator? I can’t remember any other candidate doing that.

I can’t help but smile that it’s Weiss leading the case here.
