What’s the legal community’s opinion on prepaid legal plans for basic needs?
I’m considering one for things like basic wills/trusts, real estate transactions, and possibly even for situations where I might get sued (I have umbrella insurance, so I understand that my insurer would likely cover my legal expenses in such a case).
Are the networks of lawyers in these plans generally good, and do they provide quality service? Or is there a risk of being ignored because I’m not paying the “market rate”? Do these plans pay attorneys a fair enough rate to keep them motivated to work on my case?
I’m specifically asking about Hyatt legal plans—does anyone know if their network is large enough that the attorneys wouldn’t be overwhelmed and could provide adequate service?
Thanks!
