My vehicle registration got suspended, and I had to surrender my plates. DMV says I need to wait 115 days to re-register. Is there anything I can do to fix this faster? Any advice or tips would be appreciated!
Ugh, that sounds like a nightmare. I think you can appeal the suspension in some cases. Have you tried asking the DMV about it?

Yeah, I’m trying to get a hearing with them today. Fingers crossed they’ll let me explain my situation. 
That’s rough. Honestly, if you can get a hearing with them, that might help you get a reduced suspension or something. Not sure, though.

I’m really hoping for that. They didn’t call or email me, just sent letters. 
If you have an appointment with the DMV, you could ask them to set up a hearing. They may help you get things sorted out.

Yeah, I got insurance in October, but my old insurance canceled in July. Also changed my address, so I missed a lot of mail. 
I’ve heard some people have luck getting their registration reinstated after talking to a lawyer. It could be worth looking into, especially if it’s a complicated situation.
