Hey everyone, just wondering—do homeowners have a say when schools decide to put a bus stop right in front of their house? There’s a corner nearby that seems like a better spot, so I don’t get why they’d reroute it here. Also, I’m kinda worried they shared my address without asking. Anyone dealt with something like this before?
I don’t think they’re legally required to ask you. It’s a public road, so they can probably do it without permission.

That makes sense. It’s just annoying they didn’t even send a notice, you know?

Yeah, schools usually don’t bother with notices unless it’s something major. But if it’s causing issues, you should complain!
If the noise or trash gets too bad, you can always write to the school board. They might adjust it if enough people speak up.

Good idea! I wasn’t sure if they’d even care, but it’s worth a shot.

They’ll care if enough people complain. Get your neighbors involved too!
Wait, they shared your address without permission? That sounds sketchy. Did you agree to anything like that before?

Not that I know of! I didn’t even realize they could do that.

It’s probably something buried in the fine print. Still annoying though.
Have you tried just talking to the school? They might not even realize it’s a problem for you.

I haven’t yet, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try. Thanks for the suggestion!
FYI, some schools won’t change anything unless it’s a safety issue. Maybe focus on that if you write to them.

Oh, that’s smart. I’ll definitely bring up safety concerns if I reach out.
