Speeding ticket mistake... worth fighting?

My son got pulled over for speeding, but the officer wrote the wrong car model on the ticket. He put Hyundai, but it’s actually a Honda Accord. Plus, he didn’t check the radar or laser box. Is this enough to get the ticket thrown out? Anyone had something like this happen before?

Not sure it’s enough for a dismissal. Usually, they just rely on the officer’s notes to confirm stuff in court.

Wait, even if the ticket has mistakes? I thought that could get it tossed.

@Galen
Yeah, mistakes don’t always matter unless they’re big enough to mess with the case. Missing the radar box might not be enough either.

Honestly, I’d just take the reduced points deal. Fighting it could take time and probably won’t change much.

Yeah, we have 14 days to decide. You think the deal is the best move?

@Hart
If it’s not too expensive, I’d say take it. Less stress and you move on.

Did your son admit to speeding? That could be a factor too if this goes to court.

He said he was just going with the flow of traffic. Not sure if that helps.

It might not. Judges usually side with the officer unless you have strong evidence.

The car model thing is weird, but it probably won’t matter much in the big picture. They care more about the speed.

That’s kind of what I figured. Just annoying, you know?

@Hart
Totally get it. Tickets are a pain, but the deal sounds like the easiest way out.

If you do fight it, maybe focus on the radar box being unchecked. That might raise some questions.

Yeah, but even then, the officer can just explain it in court. Probably wouldn’t help much.

@Xavi
True, but if you’ve got time and money to spare, it’s worth a shot.
