Trump actually tried to get the Supreme Court to scrap the 2020 election results and have Republican-led state governments put him in office instead. What do you think about this?
It feels like this isn’t over. We could see them try this again.

It’s unsettling how much power lies with just a handful of judges. The difference in 2020 came down to only three justices.

They’re already laying the groundwork. Next time, the Supreme Court might not stop it.

If it comes to that, people might need to push back. But first, we’ve got to win the election, or it could be too late.
@Grayden
Honestly, I hope the DOJ acts before it comes to that. These folks are part of an attempted coup, and they should be dealt with like the traitors they are—robes or not.

We’re already seeing hints of it happening again.

It’s like the same playbook but on steroids this time around.

@Remi
Thanks for linking these. It’s a good reminder of just how close we came to a disaster in 2020.
@Ty
This isn’t just a random breakdown of the system. It’s the result of a long-term, calculated plan to cement a certain type of rule. Look at guys like Musk and Thiel—they grew up in apartheid South Africa and they’re all-in on this MAGA stuff, even though they used to call themselves ‘libertarians.’
This system has never run on autopilot. It needs people to enforce it. And for decades, leaders have been chipping away at it, letting extremists gain more ground. You can see it going back to Newt Gingrich, Mitch McConnell, even further if you want to trace it to failed Reconstruction. They’ve let this happen out of convenience, the same way leaders let fascism take hold in Europe in the 20th century. Now they’re stuck in it, and history’s going to remember them for it.
So are we just turning coups into legal processes now?
Part of me is morbidly curious to see what happens if they actually try to break the system openly. What’s the tipping point look like?
