Hey everyone, I’m writing this for a friend who’s dealing with some serious issues with her ex. He’s demanding she sign something today or he’s threatening to file an injunction. They share two daughters under 7 and have been separated for two years with a 50/50 custody agreement. They have mediation coming up on December 5th, but now he’s pushing for something that feels really off. Can he actually do this? What does an injunction even mean?
She should not sign ANYTHING! Consult an attorney!
Definitely get a lawyer involved! If she doesn’t have one, she should get one ASAP. Document everything!

What do you mean by document everything?

Just keep track of all communications and any incidents. It helps if things escalate.
Honestly, if he wants to file an injunction, let him. She should just focus on the mediation and avoid talking to him until then.
Isn’t an injunction just a court order to stop doing something? Sounds like he’s just trying to scare her.

Yeah, but it can be serious. She needs to be careful and not sign anything without legal advice.
She should just text him back saying she won’t sign anything without legal guidance. That’s totally fair.
