I’m diving into some historical research and I keep hitting a wall with the lack of evidence for this particular period. What do you think are the main factors that contribute to this gap? Any thoughts on why we might be missing crucial details or records?
To be literally specific, it means that if there is a lack of proof that doesn’t mean the proof is non-existent.
It’s a likely modified saying, made somewhat famous by one of the characters in The Boondocks I believe. Basically it attempts to negate the correlation between the failure to find or state a fact to support or condemn any suggestion or theory in the end.
