What do I need to renew my driver's license in Old Saybrook?

Hey, I want to renew my driver’s license at the Old Saybrook office, but IDK exactly what I need to bring. Anyone done this recently? Any tips or things I should know about the process?

Hey, I just did this last month. You’ll need proof of identity, like your passport or birth certificate. And don’t forget your current driver’s license and a payment method. Hope that helps!

Oh wow, didn’t know I’d need my passport too. Thanks for the heads up!

Also, make sure you check if there’s a waiting time for appointments. I had to wait a couple of weeks for mine at the Old Saybrook office.

Ugh, I was hoping to get it done sooner. But I guess I can wait. Thanks for the tip!

I think you can renew online in some cases, but not sure if Old Saybrook offers that. Might be worth checking the DMV site just to be sure.

I was wondering about that! I’ll check it out. Thanks!

You also need to know if there’s any vision test required. I had to do one when I renewed last year, just FYI.

Good to know! I’ll make sure I’m prepared for that too.

Don’t forget to bring your Social Security number and maybe a utility bill as proof of address. That was a must for me when I did mine.

Oh, I didn’t need that. But maybe it’s different based on location. Better safe than sorry, though.
