What kind of lawyer do I need for a traffic citation?

I got a traffic citation after an auto accident and I’m trying to figure out what kind of lawyer I need to contest it. Also, where can I find some good resources for this? I’m in Livingston County, MI. Any tips?

Check out Avvo.com. They list traffic lawyers by location. I searched Livingston County, MI, and found one listed there.

Do you have a court date already? Sometimes lawyers can request a reschedule if needed.

Yeah, I do. If I get a lawyer, they’ll have to reschedule from what I was told.

FYI, sometimes these cases can be resolved without a lawyer if the citation isn’t too serious. You might just need to go to court and explain your side.
