Where is the museum for the 459th Bombardment Group?

Hey all, I have my father’s records and pictures to donate, but I’m not sure where to send them. I thought the museum for the 459th Bombardment Group was in Georgia, but I’m second-guessing myself. Can anyone help me out?

I think you might be talking about the Army Air Corps Library and Museum in Georgia. Is that the one? They have lots of memorabilia from the 459th Bombardment Group!

Is it in Georgia though? I thought it was in Texas. I’m pretty sure that’s where the Army Air Corps museum is.

@Bex
Ah, yeah, you’re right. It’s in Irving, TX. But they have a section for the 459th Bombardment Group there, so it could still work for donations!

Just a heads-up, the Army Air Corps Library and Museum in TX is definitely a big place for military history, so your father’s records would fit right in there. Their address is 822 San Clemente, Irving, TX.

@Mai
Thanks for the info! I’m glad to know that’s the right place. I’ll send everything to them soon.

It’s always a good feeling when you can donate something meaningful like that. I’m sure your father’s records will be appreciated.

Thanks, I hope so! It’s tough to part with things like this, but I know it’s for a good cause.

If you need help getting in touch with them, I can help look up their contact info for you!

That would be awesome, thank you! I’ll definitely reach out if I need more info.

That sounds like a really nice way to honor your father’s service. I hope they can preserve everything well!

I’m sure they will. It means a lot to me that his story gets remembered.
