Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a situation here in Wood County, WV. It all started when I had to get a restraining order against my girlfriend for pulling a gun on me. The court date was supposed to be on October 3rd, but it got moved to the 9th without any reason. When I got there, it turns out she filed a restraining order against me right after I filed mine, and it was all lies. I’ve got proof of everything, from texts to videos, but the judge didn’t let me continue and ruled in her favor. Now I’m out of my home and all my stuff. Has anyone gone through something like this?
Wow, that sounds really tough. Have you talked to a lawyer yet?

Not yet, just trying to figure things out first. IDK where to start…

You definitely need legal help. Don’t wait too long .

Right? It can get way more complicated without an attorney.
That sounds like a nightmare… Do you have any documents or evidence you can show your attorney?

Yeah, I’ve got pics and everything I mentioned. Just worried about the warrants now.

What do you mean by warrants? Like, are they for your arrest?

Yeah, apparently for the stuff they found at my property. It’s a mess.
Man, you need to get in touch with the authorities about those warrants. Just leaving it won’t help.

I know… I just didn’t want to face it. I’ll have to deal with it soon.
It’s wild they smashed your stuff! That feels illegal in itself… Did you file a complaint?

Not yet, but I might need to. I had things they wrecked that weren’t even illegal.

Definitely keep track of all that. It could help your case later.
Have you considered recording everything? Sometimes having proof helps when dealing with this kind of stuff.

I have some recordings. Just trying to figure out what to do next.

Good idea! Make sure to keep everything organized. It’ll help later.
