Hey all! So, I’m trying to help a colleague write a reference letter, but not sure how to structure it. She was a part of my training and watched my performance, so she’s backing me up for this Health Unit Coordinator role. She thinks I’m diligent, good with computers, a solid team player, and that the nurses appreciate my work. Anyone got any tips?
Yeah, sounds like you could mention specific skills she observed, like your teamwork or tech skills. That’s usually a plus.

Good idea! Especially since she pointed out I’m pretty solid with computer stuff. I’ll add that in.

Totally! Maybe say something like how you handled tasks with ease? Makes you sound more proactive.
When I helped with a reference letter, we mentioned specific achievements. Did you complete any projects or get good feedback?

Yeah, the charge nurses mentioned my work was effective, so I’ll bring that in. Thanks for the tip!
What about her saying something about your dedication? Shows you’re reliable.

That’s a good point! I think ‘diligent’ captures that well.
IDK if this helps, but maybe mention how your skills align with the Health Unit Coordinator role?

Makes sense! I’ll make sure to tie my computer and teamwork skills to that role. Appreciate it!
Just curious, but what’s a Health Unit Coordinator do? Trying to wrap my head around this.

Oh, basically it’s like a support role in healthcare—keeping things organized and helping the team run smoothly.

So kinda like making sure everyone has what they need and things run on time?

Exactly! It’s a lot of coordination and making sure everything’s good to go.
