Anyone know how to fix a wrong year on a Colorado van title?

So I have a van title from Colorado, but the year listed is wrong. It’s showing 2021, but the van is actually a 2022. I’ve had it since July, and it’s already registered, but we ran into this issue when trying to transfer it to Florida. Anyone know how to fix this or if I can handle it over the phone?

That sounds like a pain. You can definitely call the Colorado DMV and they should be able to help you sort it out. They might even let you do it online too.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if I could handle it over the phone. I’ll try calling them. Hopefully, it’s an easy fix.

Yeah, the DMV should be able to fix it. If you’re transferring it to Florida, they might also need updated info, so double-check with them about that too.

I had a similar issue before and ended up doing everything online. You can visit https://mydmv.colorado.gov and they might let you fix it there without needing to call.

If it’s been registered already, you’ll just need to contact the DMV to get the title corrected. It’s pretty simple once they know about the mistake.

Just to double-check, you’re calling the Colorado DMV, right? They should be able to handle it right away for you.

Yes, I’ll call the Colorado DMV. I’ll also check online to see if I can fix it there. Appreciate all the help!
