Anyone know how to pay tolls for a rented truck?

I rented a truck on Monday, November 25, and I need to pay the tolls now. I have an I-Pass for my own car, but not sure how to handle it for the rental. Anyone know what I should do? Appreciate any help!

Hey, I think most rental companies have a system for paying tolls. Did you try reaching out to the rental place yet?

No, I haven’t contacted them yet. Was hoping to figure it out myself first. Guess I should give them a call?

Yeah, they’ll probably know how to handle it. They might even charge you after the rental period ends. Just ask them!

I had a similar issue last month. You might be able to add the truck’s license plate to your I-Pass account for the tolls. Just log in and look for that option.

I think I remember the rental company saying they bill you for tolls after the rental. But, you could always pay directly if you want to avoid extra fees.

Sounds like I might just pay them directly to be safe. Do you know if I can just pay online?

Yep! Just go to the Illinois Tollway website. You can pay with your credit card there.

If you were in Illinois, you could pay the tolls online at the Illinois Tollway website, but if you traveled outside, check with the tolling authority in that area. They might have different rules.

Got it. I didn’t leave Illinois, so the Illinois site should work for me. Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, check with I-Pass customer service if you’re having trouble adding the truck to your account. They’ll help you out!
