Need to renew my driver’s license before it expires on 02/20/2025. I’m in Kailua, HI, and wondering where the nearest office is. I’ve already got all the documents ready, just need to figure out the best place to go. Chat is fine, so anyone got any advice? Thanks!
You should head to the Kaneohe DMV! It’s the closest to Kailua. Make sure to check if you need an appointment though, some offices do that now.

FYI, they might ask for proof of identity like a passport or military ID. Make sure you have that, just in case.

You can also renew online if you want to avoid the DMV altogether. Check the Hawaii DMV website, they have that option for some people.

Oh yeah, that’s true! I did mine online last time. It’s super convenient.
Just make sure to bring your Social Security number, they might need it in Hawaii for the renewal process.

If you’re over a certain age, they might make you take a vision test. Just something to keep in mind!
