I have a petrol Kawasaki Pro MX 2020 one-cylinder mule, and it starts spluttering once I go over 4 mph. I’ve had it for a while and it’s been used regularly, but this issue only started a couple of months ago. Any ideas what the problem could be? Appreciate any help!
Sounds like it could be something with the fuel system, maybe the carburetor or fuel filter. Have you checked those?

I haven’t checked the filter yet, but that’s a good idea. I’ll take a look at that.
Could also be a spark plug issue. I had a similar problem once, and changing the spark plug fixed it for me.

Oh, I never thought of the spark plug! I’ll check that too. Thanks!
If it only started a couple months ago, maybe it’s something that got worse over time? Could be dirt or debris in the fuel system causing the spluttering.

Yeah, dirt could definitely cause that. I’d clean out the fuel system just in case.
Have you noticed if it happens more when the engine is cold or after it’s warmed up?

Good question! I’ll pay attention to when it happens and see if there’s a pattern.
Another thing to check is the air filter. If it’s clogged, that could cause it to splutter too.

Ah, I’ll check the air filter next. Might be worth cleaning it or replacing it if it’s bad.
