Hey everyone, I’m diving into some legal research lately, and I’m curious… what are the best tools you guys use? I’ve heard of stuff like Westlaw Edge and Lexis+, but IDK what’s actually worth it. Any thoughts or faves?
Westlaw Edge is pretty solid, especially with KeyCite. It’s super helpful for citation checks.

Oh, it checks if cases are still good law. Like, if they’ve been overruled or cited by others. Super handy!
I’m all about Lexis+. Shepard’s Citations is a game changer for authority checking.

Yeah, pretty much! It shows how cases have been treated in later rulings. Both are great!
Fastcase is underrated. Cheaper but still powerful. Perfect for students imo.

It’s decent for basics, but for in-depth stuff, paid tools are better.
Anyone used HeinOnline? I heard it’s great for historical stuff.
