I recently received a citation for my window tint being too dark. If I get an eye prescription that justifies the tint, can the citation be dismissed? Has anyone had experience with this?

You got a “fix-it” ticket, meaning there was a problem that you can fix. If you fix it, you won’t have to pay a fine.
Getting a prescription for tinted windows doesn’t count as fixing the problem for this ticket. It just means you can have tinted windows in the future without issues. Since you didn’t have the prescription when you got the ticket, it doesn’t help now. You’ll still need to pay the fine.

No an eye prescription cannot dismiss a window tint citation.Window tint laws are based on specific darkness levels to ensure driver safety. An eye prescription may not be sufficient to justify a tint violation, especially if it exceeds the legal limit.
