My Indiana ID expired on 01/29/2021. Can I renew it online or do I need to go in person? I haven’t had any address or personal details change. Just trying to save some time if possible!
So, I looked into this a bit and it seems you can renew online, but only if it’s been less than 180 days since expiration. Since your ID expired in January 2021, you might be too late for the online option. You may have to go in person

Yeah, I had the same issue last year. But I had no changes to my info and was able to do it online. As long as you meet the other conditions, like no restrictions on your record, it should work.

That’s good to know! I’ll check the other conditions and see if I qualify. Hopefully it’s still possible!
Just FYI, you need to make sure there’s no restriction on your record (like 3, 7, or 9). Otherwise, it could mess up the online renewal process.

Oh, I didn’t know about those restrictions! I’ll check that out before trying to renew online. Thanks for the tip!
If you’re not able to renew online, you can also do it by mail in some cases. Might be worth looking into that option!

Just to clarify, the online renewal is only an option if the ID hasn’t been expired for more than 180 days. Otherwise, it’s gotta be in person. Good luck!

Got it! Looks like I missed the 180-day window, so I guess I’ll be heading to the DMV soon. Thanks for all the help!
