I’m currently on legal hold, waiting for a decision on my administrative separation after a NJP decision from my CO. I’ve been told leave isn’t authorized during this period. I’m just wondering if that’s standard or if there’s anything I can do about it. Am I stuck with no leave until they decide?
Yeah, that sounds about right. When you’re on legal hold, they usually don’t allow any leave. It’s one of those things that’s pretty standard in the military, unfortunately.

I figured it might be the case, but it’s good to hear it from someone else. Just feels like this wait is never-ending!
I had a similar situation and was told the same thing. It sucks, but I don’t think there’s anything you can do about it while you’re in legal hold. Hopefully, the process will speed up soon!

Ugh, I hope so! The whole thing is just so stressful. Fingers crossed for a quick decision.
I don’t know if there’s any wiggle room with the rules, but you could check in with a military lawyer. They might be able to give you more info or help you out with any potential exceptions.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’m definitely planning to talk to one soon. Just need to figure out how to go about it.
I think you’ll probably just have to wait it out unless there’s an emergency or something. But yeah, legal hold usually means no leave.

It’s a tough spot, I know. But just keep pushing through the process. I think you’re right to feel a little stuck right now, but the military lawyer might help you get some clarity on what you can do next.
