Can my park manager evict me over unpaid rent even with my credit?

Hey all, I’ve been dealing with some serious issues at my trailer park. I own my trailer but rent the lot. Ever since my ex got sent to jail for domestic violence, the park’s been giving me nonstop violations. Now they’re trying to evict me over ‘unpaid rent,’ even though I have over $3000 credit with them. The manager even refuses to give me the owner’s contact info, which my lease says I have a right to. Anyone know what my options are?

Whoa, sounds like they’re really pushing it. If you have credit with them, can they still legally evict you?

That’s what I’m wondering… seems kinda unfair, right?

You’d think they’d have to honor your credit. Have you tried asking a lawyer?

@MysteryMaverick
Not yet, but I’m looking into it. My court date’s coming up soon.

Did they give you any written notice for these violations?

Nope, just verbal stuff and texts. Nothing official.

Verbal? That doesn’t sound legit at all. Most places have to give written notice.

If your lease says you can appeal to the owner, then yeah, refusing to give you contact info seems shady.

That’s what I thought! She’s not following the lease at all.

Might be worth bringing that up in court. It shows they’re not sticking to the agreement.

If you’re facing eviction after a domestic violence incident, you might have special tenant protections.

Oh, really? Didn’t know about that.

Yeah, some places protect DV survivors from unfair evictions. Could be worth looking into.

Do you have any kind of evidence to back up your side? Like, proof of your payments and the credit you’ve got?

Yep, I kept all my receipts, emails, and even have witnesses.

Good move! Having proof should really help your case.
