Is it legal for my employer to restrict bathroom breaks at work from home, requiring us to deduct personal time from scheduled breaks? I thought OSHA mandated that employees must have reasonable access to restroom breaks. I live in Michigan, which doesn’t have specific standards on this, but I thought OSHA regulations were federal.

No, assuming you are in the US.
An employer must make reasonable accommodations for restroom availability and breaks.
Not a lawyer, just a manager that received a lot of job training by a company that is not wanting to be sued because someone is trying to police the potty time.

Hey @Stephany , I’ve got a question. How can they really enforce this rule? How would they even know if you spent 3 minutes in the restroom? I mean, you’re at home, right? They don’t have a camera on you or anything. This feels like one of those situations where they made a rule they can’t really enforce
