I was hit from behind while driving and ended up being pushed into a redwood tree on Mount Saint Helena, Napa County, CA. I’m 79 years old and now I’ve lost sight in my right eye from the accident. I also can’t walk well anymore. I’ve already filed the case in Napa Court, but I really need an attorney. Any advice on how to find one?
Wow, that sounds awful. Sorry to hear about your accident. One option for finding a lawyer is to contact your local Bar Association in Napa. They have a referral service where they can connect you with personal injury attorneys who offer consultations, sometimes for free. I’d start there!
@Zora
Yeah, Bar Associations are great for referrals. You might also want to check out websites like Avvo or Nolo. They help you find lawyers based on reviews, experience, and location. It’s super easy to use.
Sorry to hear you’re going through this. Have you tried searching for attorneys on Avvo.com? You can filter by practice area (personal injury) and read reviews from other clients. It’s been super helpful for me in the past.
@Noel
Thanks, JKL! I didn’t even think about websites like Avvo. I’ll definitely give it a try.
You should also consider looking up local law firms in Napa that specialize in personal injury or car accidents. Many of them offer a free consultation, and they might even take your case on a contingency basis, which means you won’t have to pay unless you win the case.
@Kiran
Great point, MNO. I had a similar situation a few years ago, and the lawyer I found worked on contingency. Definitely ask about that option!
I’d also recommend looking into your insurance to see if they can help cover some of the medical costs. A lot of times, insurance companies can cover bills while you wait for the lawsuit to settle.

Oh, that’s a good idea, UVW. I’ll call my insurance to see what they can do. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I’ve got a lot to look into now. I’ll reach out to the Bar Association, check out those websites, and talk to my insurance. Hopefully, I’ll find someone who can help me with everything. Appreciate all the support!
@Teo
Glad we could help, XYZ! Best of luck with everything, and I hope you find the right attorney soon. Take care of yourself!
