I filed for a change of address in MS and I’m now in Kyle, TX 78640. I filed the change around the end of October, effective 10/29/2024. Do I have to go into the Kyle PO to confirm that I am relocated?
You shouldn’t have to confirm anything at the PO. As long as you filed the change of address, mail should be forwarded automatically. Have you checked if any mail has started coming through yet?

I haven’t checked yet, but I’ll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the info!
I had the same situation when I moved. I didn’t have to confirm anything either. The mail just started coming after a few days. I’d say you’re good to go!

Good to hear! I was worried I missed something. Fingers crossed it works out!
Yeah, once you file it, you don’t need to confirm it at the local post office. It should all be handled, but if you’re still not getting mail in a week or so, maybe double-check with them.

Gotcha, I’ll wait a bit and see. Hopefully, it all comes through soon.
I’ve moved a few times, and I didn’t need to confirm with the PO. If you filed everything correctly, they should take care of it. But you might get a confirmation notice later on.

Thanks for the reassurance! I’m hoping they send that confirmation soon.
I wouldn’t worry too much. I didn’t need to confirm anything either. It usually works out after a few days. Just keep an eye out for any forwarded mail.

Thanks! I’ll give it a few days and check back. Hopefully, it all goes smoothly.
