Ex-Parte Temporary Custody

Is there anyone who knows the duration of “Ex-Parte temporary custody”? My ex-wife has been causing me immense suffering and claims I have no authority to inquire about my son’s health or to ask that he see a doctor. She initially lied to obtain an ex-parte, so I’m not sure how that’s allowed.

An ex-parte temporary custody order lasts until a court hearing can be scheduled, usually within 10 to 14 days. If you think the order was obtained under false pretenses, it is important to gather evidence and seek legal advice to rectify the situation.

If you have evidence that she lied to get the order, you can rapidly reverse an ex parte order, which is an emergency order. A lawyer and all of your evidence will be required. If not, this will remain in effect until the court hears your primary case involving her.

@Kola Indeed, if the order becomes the status quo, you will effectively lose the chance to challenge it if you allow it to stand for an extended period of time.
