Having a bit of a crisis here… I just turned in my memo draft and had a meeting with my professor to go over edits. Turns out I missed some research points, and when I asked her about which cases to include, she told me that’s for me to figure out. I get that it’s meant to be an independent task, but it’s stressing me out big time. I think I’m on the right track now, though.
Between exam prep, keeping up with class, working on this memo, and doing revisions, the anxiety is kicking in hard, especially since my outlines aren’t where they should be yet. And contracts is closed book! I’m just really hoping to pass and make my family proud, especially since they’ve made sacrifices to get me here. I’m the first in my family to go to college, and the pressure is real.
I know I’m not dumb, but the next month has me pretty worried.
Take some deep breaths, and maybe consider taking a day off this weekend or next if you can. Pushing yourself too hard can end up backfiring, so try to remember to take it easy when you can.
I was feeling the same way last week. I took Friday off, slept in, had a good meal, and by Saturday I was in a much better place. It’s amazing what a break can do for you!
Try making a plan for the month ahead, listing everything you need to get done. Even make a table or Excel sheet with the dates and your classes. Breaking it down into steps might help with the anxiety a bit.
