I walked out of my job last Wednesday at this small healthcare provider. I turned in a letter saying my last day was the day before and just left. It was a terrible work environment, and the owner really doesn’t get how to run a business. So yeah, I’m out about 2 days’ pay. Money isn’t really an issue for me; it’s totally worth it to never step foot in there again. But I’m kinda curious if I should expect a check in the mail within 72 hours? I know her excuse will be that I didn’t submit a timecard or mileage docs, but still…
That sounds rough… I think in AZ, they have to pay you within a certain time frame, right?

Yeah, I heard it’s supposed to be within 72 hours if you’re terminated. But since you left, IDK if that changes anything?
@Dallas
Good point… IDK how that works. Anyone else have experience with this?
I left a job once and got my check within a week. But I had to chase them a bit… maybe try that?

Chasing them sounds like a pain… ugh. I’ll probably have to do that.
If they don’t pay you, you can report them. Just FYI. I’ve seen people do that.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that was an option… what do you mean by report?

You can file a complaint with the labor board. They’ll look into it.

Honestly, if it’s just a couple of days, it might not be worth the hassle. Just move on, you know?
Yeah, I get that… I just wanna make sure they don’t get away with it, you know?
I feel you on that. It’s the principle of the thing. Keep us posted on what happens.
