How can i get back car papers i mailed by mistake?

hi everyone, i accidentally dropped my car papers into the mailbox outside the waipahu lleoku post office this morning at 8 am. i didn’t mean to mail them and now i don’t know how to get them back. has anyone dealt with this before? what should i do?

ugh, that’s tough! have you tried calling the post office directly? they might be able to help if the mail hasn’t been picked up yet.

yep! just found it—give them a ring at 808-xxx-xxxx during their office hours. hope they can sort it out for you!

i think the mail gets collected around noon. if you call early enough, they might be able to hold it before it goes out.

you could also visit the post office in person. sometimes they’re more helpful face-to-face than over the phone.

btw, what kind of car papers are they? like registration or title? just asking because some things might need extra steps if they get mailed.

just the registration, thankfully. i’d rather not have to deal with replacing it if it gets lost though.

if they can’t get it back, you might need to request a replacement from the dmv. it’s a pain, but better than losing it permanently.
